Unite Against Fascism Do The BNP’s Job For Them

Since January of this year a coalition of anti-fascist activists in the north of England and the midlands have worked to shut down the BNP’s annual festival of hate, the Red, White and Blue Festival. This coalition is made up of a wide representation of the left from trade unionist to liberals to anarchists. This coalition also includes the Derby branch of UAF.

The national organising body of UAF however has avoided having anything to do with the organisation against this festival and have repeatedly avoided any mention of it at their events. UAf is no different to the Anti-Nazi-League of old or Globalise Resistance in that all these groups are fronts for the Trotskyist group the Socialist Workers Party.

The SWP has a history of forming groups like this in an attempt to gain control over social movements and in doing so sap any creativity and dynamism out of said movement. This has happened any time they have been successful as we can see with their pushing the Stop the War movement into soul destroying banality and ineffectiveness that causes people to become disempowered. They are now trying to do this to the anti-fascist movement through UAF and are attempting to split the movement because they cannot control it.

I hope that may people read this and decide not to attend the sectarian demo called by the UAF but attend the real demonstration that has been worked on by a broad spectrum of activists all year.

Medieval Superstition Runs Amok In Our Schools – The End Days Are Upon Us!

The BBC report that a school girl in Wales has won a case to allow her to wear bangles that are symbols of her sikh faith in school. I think this absolutely absurd for a number of different reasons. First and foremost is that the schools does not allow ANY pupils to wear ANY jewelery in school for health and safety reasons. That’s no necklaces, no ear rings and no bangles. I find it offensive that this girl is given special dispensation because of her superstition.

As I have said elsewhere the only place that religion should have in twenty first century schools is in history classes. All religions are the product of our primitive past where we had little to no understanding of the way the world worked and when we were scared of the dark. That any credence is given to these beliefs is absurd. If someone wanted to express that they believed that the earth was flat they should be allowed to do so but they should in no way be allowed exemption from ridicule or scorn and should expect no special dispensation; no matter how deeply held is their fantastical belief.

When we allow, as we do now, religious freaks to be able to have their delusions treated with respect we set ourselves on the path to a new dark ages of superstition, fear and ignorance. Should the child of a fascist be allowed to wear the swastika to school because of the deeply held beliefs of their parents? Of coursenot! School is supposed to be a place of knowledge and learning where ignorant beliefs such as belief in deities or racism are challenged and defeated.

Liberals and many leftists will defend peoples ‘right’ to hold any belief they wish no matter how divisive of intolerant. People, they will argue, should be allowed to bring their children up any way they see fit. Tosh! Bringing a child up to hate a person because of the colour of their skin or their country of birth is not and never will be acceptable. bringing a child up to hate is abuse and those who do so should have the children under their care taken from them. The same goes for those who bring children up to believe in bronze age superstitions that pervert their view of the wonderful world around us.

Child abuse is not acceptable whether that is mental abuse or physical.

No to religion in schools.

No to faith schools.

No to child abuse.

So Gordon Brown and her Madge are backing plans to spunk three million quid on burying Thatcher I would like to add my support to this call with the proviso that the old bitch is breathing when we stick her under.

She is responsible for the destruction of communities and industries across this island and for the deaths of young lads in the Falklands, the overseeing of arms sales to regimes that would use them against their own people and generally did her part of making our world a much, much darker place to live in.

So yeah spend £3million burying the old shitebag but spend the cash on fitting cameras to the inside of the coffin so we can watch the old cow suffocate on national TV.

Animal Rights Wingnuts Ahoy!!

A while ago I pondered what was the aim of the absurd ‘antispe’ group. Not having received a straight answer I had kinda stopped thinking about them. However this post on Indymedia answers my question quite nicely.

I don’t for one minute believe that this crap in anyway is representative of all in the animal rights movement but they are of a certain section of it. This is also the type of fucknut that the ‘antispe’ thing will appeal to i.e. psychotic quasi-authoritarian misanthropes.

Bollocks To Indymedia UK And Bollocks To The Climate Camp

I have had it up to here with goddamn self righteous fucking hippies.

Recently on Indymedia UK there was an open letter to the Climate Camp from Dave Douglass of the National Union of Miners expressing concerns about the Climate Camps aim to shut down Kingsnorth power station next month. Dave was rightly concerned that in the propaganda put out by the camp there is little about the fate of workers in the industries targetted by the camp. The letter was well thought out, polite and looked like it could have been the start of a creative discourse. However whilst there were a couple of sensible comments the majority seemed to be of the opinion ‘tough’, let them lose their jobs.

Now I had expected this to be the case but when I looked at the hidden comments (you add ?c=all to the end of the address) I noticed that any comment even vaguely critical of the camp had been hidden. This has really pissed me off, not just because two of my comments have been hidden but because people who posted things that in no way broke the editorial guidelines of the site had their posts hidden. There is only one word I can think of to describe this and though I am loath to say it this is censorship, an active attempt to distort a story and quell any criticism of the dominant force, middle class hippy scum fucks in this case.

Here is one of the comments that was hidden.

Thank God this is now out in the open, I was really pissed off to see the NUM group get shouted down during one of the planning meetings. The smarmy middle class lot who have taken over the climate camp in 2008 just do not want to listen and this needs to be addressed.

The climate camp has certainly lost its way of late probably because of those running it.

How this breaches any of the editorial guidelines I do not know. I had decided to stay out of the debate being as I can have a somewhat barbed tongue which isn’t always helpful or constructive (apparantly) until I saw this muppet calling themselves “Anti-hierarchy, Anti-leaders, Anti-organisation” (the last bit says it all really) posted the following

not an organisation, so please stop saying “can Climate Camp do this? can Climate Camp do that?”. Or is it that you need a collective organisation with a flag that its members can rally around even if its redundant? From people and their imaginations climate camp came, and to there it will return. Meantime, most of you will still be worshipping the leaders who keep you poor.

Which is to put it bluntly a load of old bollocks as my mum used to say. I responded in a fairly restrained manner considering the bile that was burning the back of my throat.

What a load of hippy pish. There is an organizational hierarchy within the ‘creative spontaneity’ or whatever drivel you want to call it.This is mostly made up of those people who have the cash and spare time to be able to attend the planning meetings around the country.
Asking for a response from this, dare I say it, elite is hardly that much to ask. Directing those questions towards ‘The Climate Camp’ is also understandable as there are a variety of different working groups, surely there is one who could take it on board to respond to Dave Douglas and other workers concerned by their jobs coming under attack from a bunch of self righteous hippies.
Or maybe the beloved leaders didn’t think that workers might be a bit peeved about being put out of their jobs.

Hardly that outrageous and and again not in breach of any of the guide lines, I have posted other comments on other articles using the same style of writing and have never had a post hidden. Maybe it’s just because I wasn’t criticising the beloved Climate Camp.

The Climate Camp have, to their credit, responded with an open letter to the trade union movement with a statement that, whilst I’m sure was penned with the best of intentions, manages to say absolutely nothing of any consequence whatsoever. Pretty much like the politics of the camp itself if you ask me.

So like I said at the top Bollocks to Indymedia UK and Bollocks to the Climate Camp.

Indymedia Scotland is all warm and fuzzy and great by the way.

An End To Faith Schools And An End To Faith

According to the Scottish Government there are 395 faith schools in Scotland which compared to Englandshire’s 7000 or so doesn’t seem too bad, but it’s still 395 too many. These ’schools’ are funded by the government and therefore by taxes paid by all of us whether we are rational or not. I fundamentally oppose any superstitious half wits ‘right’ to stunt their child’s development by sending them to one of these divisive institutions.

It is just plain wrong that anyone should be able to teach superstitious nonsense as fact and it’s absolutely out-bloody-rageous that the rest of us should be expected to pay for it. The teaching of the loony tune ideas of the supernaturalists makes me feel sick to the core. How can we expect to advance as a species when we allow witch doctors and stone age troglodytes to be responsible for our childrens education?

It’s all very well if you want to think that you’ve got a magic space daddy that is going to party with your ghost after you shuffle off this mortal coil but teach it to your kids as fact and you should have your children taken off you and you should be sterilised for the good of the human race.

Lying is not a good thing folks and lying to children is abhorrent.

I am sick that these wing nuts who hold ridiculous fucking beliefs should be afforded any respect from a rational society. That this respect is demanded and given makes me really pessimistic about our future. These beliefs should be held up to ridicule and venom on a daily basis.

There is no more evidence for ANY form of intelligent creator than there is for the existence of fucking leprechauns. Religious and spiritual belief has caused untold suffering all over the world and stands side by side with both statism and capitalism as the worst disasters to befall our species. At least capitalists and statists can provide concrete evidence for how and why they exist rather than the bollocks spouted by the faith types of the world.

For the final word on how I feel about faith, well the Abrahamic ones anyway:

Christians: He didn’t even exist FFS!

Jew: Stop mutilating your children! It’s not big, it’s not clever so stop it okay.

Muslims: I don’t care where or when you lived sleeping with a child makes you a nonce.

Private Citizen = Criminal?

Now anyone who knows me, or at least reads the rubbish I spout on here, will know I’m not the biggest fan of the animal rights movement bit the recent arrests of 20 animal rightists in Austria has gotten my goat and looks to be quite worrying.

The activists are all charged with being members of a criminal organisation. Some of the evidence for this is that some of the 20 arrested use PGP to encrypt their data to prevent it being intercepted. Basically using PGP is like locking your front door when you go out or simply taking a precaution to make sure noone reads your mail who don’t want reading your mail. So basically these folks are accused of criminality for wanting to keep their private correspondence private.

Of course in this country it is already illegal to refuse to give the old bill any passwords they ask for and you can be given a prison sentence for refusing. Hell, you can be given a prison sentence for forgetting your password if they really want in.

That this happened in Austria should not prove any less worrying for those of us in this country(UK) who want to keep our private data private. We already hear the old adage ‘you’ve got nothing to fear if you’ve nothing to hide’ rolled out about the forthcoming Orwellian disaster the ID card. Though given this governments history with private data it’s more likely to turn into a Kafkaesque nightmare than an Orwellian one.

How long will it be I wonder til we hear that said about all of our e-mail and phone calls being intercepted or American intelligence agencies being given access to our personal data? The same was said when CCTV cameras were rolled out around the country. We were told that CCTV was going to help lower street crime, which was dropping anyway, and has it? Even the chief of the Met says that it has prevented less crime than it has helped solve i.e. not a lot. The one thing that it has achieved is reinforcing it in the minds of every single person living on this island – you are being watched.

But then again if you’ve nothing to hide.
