Basildon Council Scum Bags Should Be Beaten And Hung With Their Own Entrails

It has emerged that Essex Couty Coucils war on the Gypsies of Dale Farm has reached sickening new heights. Plans have been revealed to sieze the children of the travellers and keep them at a holding station some miles away and only return them if the parents leave the county.

For those who don’t know the land at Dale Farm was bought by the travellers after the government encouraged gypsies to settle down. They have built a number of chalets and a few roads on the land alonng with a chapel and the new St Christopher community centre.

Basildon district council have been trying to get rid of the travellers ever since they bought the land. They have apparantly earmarked 5,000,000 euro for the eviction and demolition.

The council say that the travellers do not have planning permission to build on green belt land. Would they have gotten it had they applied? Not bloody likely! Modern planning regulations are a sack of crap. If they can be used to justify making 90 families homeless then something is very wrong.

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the situation vis a vis planning how the fuck can anybody possibly justify snatching children? These scum at Basildon District Council should be strung up with their own innards and their families made homeless.

Just Desserts

CEO of Graziano Transmissioni, Lalit Kishore Choudhary, got his just desserts after laying off over a hundred workers last week. The men who had been layed off entered the factory and destroyed machinery before attacking the bosses of the Italian owned company and beating Mr Chouhary to death.

This was repotred in the Times who followed up the story with a few examples of when ‘workers turn bad’ and do dreadful things after being laid off. The times listed three things where laid off workers had murdered people. Lets see if I can beat that with examples of workers killed on the job where no CEO was ever arrested or taken to court.

Well for starters here in Glasgow we have Graham Meldrum who was killed in 2005 due to the actions of bosses at Allied Bakeries here in Glasgow. His family continue to struggle for justice. More info can be found here.

On the 11 May 2004 in Maryhill here in Glasgow nine workers were killed and more than thirty injured. Any CEOs in court over this?Their negligence caused the deaths of nine workers and the company gets a fine but they get away scot free.

According to the T&G 61 workers were killed on the job between 2002-04.

How many bosses wind up in the dock or in prison over this? Not a one. Shows you how much a worker is worth isn’t it. If I killed someone through dangerous driving then I would go to to prison. If a boss kills someone by negligence they get a fine.

Secession, Anarchy and Nationalism

That’s one hell of a grand title for this post. This is mostly just some musings on a rather touchy subject.

I was recently involved in an e-mail debate around the secession of Wales from the United Kingdom. This was on an Anarchist e-mail list and the person who was posting calling for Welsh nationalism is a troll through and through. His claims that nationalism and secession are the same thing led me to wondering whether in fact they are.

All the small nation nationalists in this region (UK) are secessionist i.e they want to break away from the UK and from what they see as English domination/control.

I would not however say that all who call for secession are nationalists. For one thing there are members of the local bourgeoisi who may see an opportunity to gain themselves more power or a chance to make a greater profit. A lower rate of tax perhaps.

There are also people such as myself who thinks that secession is a good thing as it would bring the blame for unfavourable living conditions closer to home.

In Scotland, and in Wales to a lesser extent, there is a tendency to blame ones woes upon the much maligned English. More specifically upon the government in Whitehall. Whilst I’m all in favour of people blaming the state for the problems the system it propagates creates. The problem lies in that the government is perceived as a foreign government. This stops a lot of people short of laying blame where it belongs, on the capitalist system, and places it in the hands of a foreign oppressor.

I am of the opinion that once an area secedes from the union they will no longer be able blame the English for all their woes but will be forced to blame the bourgeoisie closer to home.

I do not think that I would ever agitate or work towards independence for any of the small nations of the UK, well maybe if Yorkshire decided they wanted Independence, but I would vote if a referendum was called for Scots independence.

Could’nt hurt.

Pesky Russkies

It appears that NASAs plans for future flights into orbit have been jeopardised by Russian talks with Cuba. Russia has been negotiating with Cuba regarding a joint venture in a Cuban space centre.

This will be interesting as the US Space Shuttles are due to retire in two years and there is no replacement in the pipeline. The US had been planning on buying flights from Russia. Something it will more than likely balk at doing if Russia is in cahoots with Castroist Cuba.

It does look like America is going to lag well behind in the new space race if they don’t develop their own launch program. Everyone else is in on the game it seems except the US.

Hell even the ESA, the turtle of the space race, is planning manned missions to Mars. Which is probably a bit of a waste of time. It would make far more sense to begin to exploit the asteroid belt first. But the ESA aint the turtle for nothing

World Safe Thanks To Gas Leak

According to New ‘Scientist’ the Large Hadron Collider has been shut down for at least two months due to a gas leak. Thank the stars for that. Now we do not have to risk having civilisation as we know it destroyed by firebreathing monstrosities.

To coincide with the Labour Party conference in Manchester the Stop The War Coalition called for a protest march to demand the troops get pulled out of the various war we are fighting around the world. The Stop the War Coalition is a mash up of various well meaning do gooders, pacifists, trade unionists, quakers and the like though it is mostly under the control of the Socialist Workers Party.

For this years March the Manchester Anarchist Federation and No Borders Network put out a call for a ‘Freedom of Movement Block’. This would be a rallying point for those amongst the left tired of allowing groups like the SWP to dominate the anti-war movement and to show people that there is an alternative to the liberal anti war movement.

Both the No Borders Network and the Anarchist federation are involved in directly helping those who’s lives are affected by capitals wars. Namely the asylum seekers who are forced to flee with their families to safer regions like the EU.

Along with people from the Unity Centre in Govan, an asylum support project that came out of the No Borders Network, a couple of us took the trip to Manchester for the demo.

After a long, and thankfully sing-a-long free, coach trip from Glasgow we arrived in Manchester to glorious sunshine and hot and uncomfortable looking cops on horseback. Looking about for the No Borders and Anarchist Federation block we soon spotted them thanks to the beautiful red and black flags waving in the sunlight. The large amount of fluorescent cops hanging around made the block look rather conspicuous too.

The police acting true to form were well under way with the business of generally harassing people. They had declared a section 60, which they seemed to think gave them the power to demand people remove their masks and allow themselves to be filmed. Well you can demand all you like matey boy. When people, justifiably, refused to comply they attempted to arrest a few people. However again their authority was not recognised and they were not allowed to take our people away.

This they did not like.

Still there was nothing they could do about it short of picking a proper fight. Something I feel they did not want to do with the labour party conference in town. The people within the block showed great strength of character by standing form against the police and their petty little power games.

Anyway after causing a bit of a fuss the police decided that they were going to march down either side of the block in what seemed like an ill thought out attempt to control it. No sooner than we were underway than people began to march either side of the police so that before too long they were surrounded and we had them under control where we could keep an eye on them.

The march carried on pretty much without incident. The trots wheeled out their mind numbing chants. Consider yourself lucky that I have far too much respect for you dear reader than too reprint them here.

The Red’N'Black block however came up with one or two of its own, far more entertaining, chants.

As with all these anti-war shindigs, and most activities the SWP and their ilk organise, this was to be a dull and boring march from A – B to listen to Tony Benn sound like slightly lefty Winston Churchill and various other regulars of the old left. Marches like these have been going on since before the invasion of Afghanistan and have so far managed to achieve sweet FA.

A Bit Of Brown For Brown

The state is simply not concerned about however many people march about the streets calling them names. So long as capital and its war machine is unaffected they don’t care.

It is due to the ineffectiveness of these tactics that the war was able to roll on without a hitch. this may sound like I am laying the blame for this at the feet of the StWC. I am. But not at their feet alone. Almost all parts of the left failed to advocate for radical action against the war and those that did advocate this did not do it loud enough.

We, the anarchists, failed to engage with the millions who were and are against this war and allowed the anti war movement to be steered into ennui and disillusionment as we to a one predicted it would.

So shame on those in the StWC who steered the potential of massive anti war sentiment into the cul-de-sac of a-b marches but doubly shame on us for not agitating loudly enough for real action.

But hopefully over the coming years we will see an upswing in genuinely radical action against the war and towards revolution.

Science Gets It Wrong! Fact!!

Look, the LHC went online this morning and the entire planet wasn’t destroyed by black holes and more to the point we haven’t been over run by dragons rampaging forth from CERN.

Those so called ’scientists’ over at the Large Hadron Collider or as I like to call it THE DEATH STAR! Fact! Are currently planning on bringing our world to rack and ruin all in the spurious name of ‘progress’. Progression into hell more like!

We have all heard these scientists claiming that we are not at risk from the LHC creating black holes that could devour the earth and everything on it. Well at last one of them has had the courage to come right out and admit the danger they are putting us in.

Writing in the Guardian newspaper Michio Kaku claims that using the work of Werner Heisenberg

that fire breathing dragons will be produced by the LHC

What madness is this that these mad professors wish to resurrect creatures thought extinct since the medieval days. Have we learned nothing from Jurassic Park? I don’t think Jeff Goldblum can save us now, it’s gone too far!

Do you want your children eaten by velociraptors? No? Then stop the Large Hadron Collider and reopen 9/11!
